Rest, and digest...
Trip to cabin
friends
playing games
delious food
snow
ski
oranges
Easter-candy
bird sounds
sun
camera
sunglasses
coffee
outhouse
fresh mountainwater
sunscreen
radio
reading books
eggs
resting in the sun
grilled hot dogs
no schoolbooks
And most important of all...
Jesus Christ died,
and rose up again
He is alive,
and gives us the reason
to celebrate Easter
May God bless this time
of the year, and remind us
of what it really means.
...AND CELEBRATE EASTER

Familytime
Easter is a time to visit family. I have met all my siblings this Easter. Today Jon and Magne(and his wife) came home to Feed to have dinner. I was out skiing, but met them when I got home. So that was nice. I also spent some days with my sister Dorthea and her family. Noah is getting so big, and he is very funny. He loves to play and talks a lot now. When I was there, he brought me into his room, and then he wanted to shut the door. It was too warm in there, so we had to keep the door open, but he wanted to keep the visitor all to himself, and show me all his toys. Too funny! My cousing gave him a kitchen to play with, so he was making food and feeding me... :-)
Gabriel and his wife are visiting family, so I havent seen them so much this time. But I met Gabriel before he left. I will be staying at home this summer, and working here, so then I will see them a more. My mom and dad are happy to have some of the kids visiting. They are doing well, but are busy. My dad has a lot to do in the barn. The sheep are giving birth at this time of the year. So there are many cute lambs...
The weather has been so beatiful this Easter. There has been sun everyday since I came home. I have been skiing with my friend Anne Berit. And I had to put on a lot of sunscreen. There is only a little bit snow left here, and the rest is melting very fast. But we were able to spend some days up in the mountains at a cabin and enjoy the little rest of the snow. We had to take off the skies some places and just carry the skies. But it is so special to get up in the mountains and just enjoy the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. When I get back to Bergen it will be busy until the summerbreak starts. Im going to Germany and Copenhagen, in the begining of May on a study trip. And then its almost time for my next final... It's a pretty big one, in the subject: Physiology. Im almost done with my second year of medical school, and finish with the most basal subjects. In the fall we start with patients, and they will be teaching us in the hospital. I have ordered my first stetoscope now, and it will be a caribean blue :-)
Thats a little update from me. Have a great Easter! hugs to all
Visitors in Bergen
Last weekend my friends Elisabeth and Bjørnar with their kids came to visit me in Bergen. We had fun together. We went up to Fløien with Fløybanen(a train wich takes you up above the city). The kids also enjoyed the aquarium in Bergen :-) Here are some pictures. Welcome again, and thanks for visiting.

Fun facts about the body
I found these on the internet... always fun for a medical student!
Human thigh bones are stronger than concrete.
The average human body contains enough: iron to make a 3 inch nail, sulfur to kill all fleas on an average dog, carbon to make 900 pencils, potassium to fire a toy cannon, fat to make 7 bars of soap, phosphorous to make 2,200 match heads, and water to fill a ten-gallon tank.
You can’t kill yourself by holding your breath.
More people are allergic to cow’s milk than any other food.
Your heart beats over 100,000 times a day!
In the late 19th century, millions of human mummies were used as fuel for locomotives in Egypt where wood and coal was scarce, but mummies were plentiful.
You’re born with 300 bones, but by the time you become an adult, you only have 206.
It is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.
Right handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.
Beards are the fastest growing hairs on the human body. If the average man never trimmed his beard, it would grow to nearly 30 feet long in his lifetime.
Your ribs move about 5 million times a year, everytime you breathe!
One quarter of the bones in your body, are in your feet!
Like fingerprints, everyone’s tongue print is different!
The first known transfusion of blood was performed as early as 1667, when Jean-Baptiste, transfused two pints of blood from a sheep to a young man.
Fingernails grow nearly 4 times faster than toenails!
Most dust particles in your house are made from dead skin!
The present population of 6 billion plus people of the world is predicted to become 15 billion by 2080.
Women blink nearly twice as much as men.
The average person laughs 10 times a day!
The only time the human population declined was in the years following 1347, the start of the epidemic of the plague ‘Black Death’ in Europe.
A man named Charles Osborne had the hiccups for 69 years!
The human brain is 78% water.
A person will die from total lack of sleep sooner than from starvation. Death will occur about 10 days without sleep, while starvation takes a few weeks.
An average person uses the bathroom 6 times per day.
An individual blood cell takes about 60 seconds to make a complete circuit of the body.
Laughing lowers levels of stress hormones and strengthens the immune system. Six-year-olds laugh an average of 300 times a day. Adults only laugh 15 to 100 times a day.
